For most patients, wound healing is a relatively quick and simple process. Our bodies are designed to recover from minor wounds and injuries, but certain wounds require more involved treatment to heal. If left untreated, non-healing or chronic wounds can result in a variety of health risks, including loss of limbs and life-threatening conditions, making effective treatment critical.
The Wound Reconstruction Center at The Bellevue Hospital provides a thorough and comprehensive outpatient program that features specialized approaches to wound care. Our team of highly experienced clinical professionals, including skilled physiciansand certified wound care nurses, focus on each patient’s individual needs and create a treatment plan specific to each patient.
