The Bellevue Hospital's Intensive Care Unit is a 10 bed unit with 6 private rooms and 2 semi-private rooms. We are located on the second floor of the hospital's west wing. We provide highly skilled and qualified nursing care for each critically ill or injured patients.
We appreciate and encourage family members to visit our patients because they play an important role in supporting loved one's physical, mental and spiritual recovery.
We believe that each patient has the right to receive quality care based on individual needs and age. Patients and their families are involved in establishing priorities for the care that best meets the patients needs.

Visiting Hours
General visiting hours are 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Visiting outside of these hours is permitted depending on the patient and family needs.

Family Spokesperson
Each family is requested to to designate one spokesperson who will call us for updates. Other family members and friends can then call the spokesperson to update them on the patient's condition. Please feel free to ask us any question while you are here and we will do our best to explain. We understand that this is a stressful time not only for our patients, but for their families as well.
When to Call
You are welcome to call at anytime, but we request to avoid calling us between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. and again between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. During these times, our staff is in report and explaining the patient's need to the next nursing shift.
