The Bellevue Hospital (TBH) and its pain management partner, Pain Management Group, recently welcomed Dr. Darin Scribner to the pain management team. Dr. Scribner has joined Dr. Vimal Kumar and Jill Solis, nurse practitioner, at the Pain Management Center.
“We believe the addition of this second physician will allow the Pain Management Center to better meet the growing needs of the community for high quality, safe pain treatment,” said Timothy A. Buit, president and CEO of TBH.
Dr. Scribner completed medical school at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. After finishing his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation from the University of Michigan, he completed a fellowship in pain medicine from the University of California.
Dr. Scribner diagnoses and creates individualized treatment plans for patients based on several considerations, including the cause and level of pain. Conditions treated at TBH’s Pain Management Center include neck and back pain, headaches, fibromyalgia, chronic pelvic pain, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), nerve damage, as well as pain associated with arthritis, muscle spasms and shingles.
Common medical treatments provided by the Pain Management Center include the use of physical therapy and medication while common interventional procedures will include epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, selective nerve root blocks and radiofrequency ablations.
A physician referral is required for the Pain Management Center, located in Building 1, Suite C, directly behind TBH at 1400 W. Main St. in Bellevue. For more information, call TBH’s Pain Management Center at 419.484.5903.
