Beginning Wednesday, June 17, The Bellevue Hospital’s Outpatient Laboratory Services will be accepting walk-ins at the Main Laboratory at the hospital, 1400 W. Main St., Bellevue.
“As we reopen services, we are slowly beginning to restore services back to normal. This is the next step in that process,” said Sara Brokaw, vice president of patient care services at The Bellevue Hospital. “We thank you in advance for your patience as we transition back to walk-in based visits in combination with social distancing guidelines. Patients may experience a longer wait for laboratory check-in/order processing and for labs to be drawn during peak times. “
Patients will no longer need to schedule lab appointments. A physician order is required and patients may call to pre-register at 419-483-4040, then dialing 0 for the operator. Lab hours are 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
“Please remember to wear your own cloth face coverings upon arrival to our hospital, outpatient clinics and physicians’ offices and to keep the covering on while traveling through our hospital and medical offices.”
To protect patients from the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), TBH has put standard precautions in place including restricting visitors, utilizing masks and personal protective equipment (PPE), and screening both staff and patients by checking temperatures and asking about symptoms of flu-like illnesses.
