Alice Adams, of Bellevue, was drawn as the winner of a three-minute shopping spree at Hogue’s IGA as part of the Bellevue United Selective Fund (BUSF) Community Raffle.
Fundraising efforts for the BUSF took place in September and October of this year, with the winners of the raffle prizes being announced in November.
On the morning of Dec. 12, Alice and her grandson Zach Adams maneuvered through the grocery store aisles to cash in on her winning raffle prize. Alice and Zach concentrated on several cuts of meats and seafood during their shopping spree and ended with a total of nearly $500 in grocery items. The cost of the prize was split between The Bellevue Hospital and Hogue’s IGA.
The BUSF’s Community Raffle and Annual Campaign kicks off annually in late September. The BUSF acts as a collection agency for donated funds which are then distributed to various local non-profit organizations.
