It was a beautiful night for the Bellevue Community Days parade, that was held Thursday, June 22.
The Bellevue Hospital (TBH) was honored to take part in such a great community event. TBH Veterans, employees, kids and even pets marched along, passing out Tootsie Rolls and glow necklaces to spectators.
The parade was just one of the activities scheduled during the Bellevue Community Days Celebration, that ran from Thursday, June 22 - Sunday, June 25. This year, the Community Days event was focused around "The Wall That Heals," the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica & Education Center that traveled to Bellevue, and arrived at Central Park in Bellevue by motorcyle escort on June 21.
Vietnam Veterans were invited to serve as the Grand Marshalls of the parade, which was followed by a candle light vigil at The Wall site for Veterans, loved ones and community members.
